The AV extenders (with remote control return) are devices meant to extend the Audio Video signal source to a remotely located screen by frequencies of 2.4 or 5.8 GHz depending on the model. Using the right receivers, purchased separately, help extending the signal to other points. Usually combined with modulators, the remote control extenders are available in the wave radio coaxial cable versions.

It allows transmission to another TV set in the household (even on a different floor) of pictures and audio stereo from a SAT or DTT receiver, VCR, etc. All the functions of the connected device are remotely managed by the built-in remote control extender. A 4-position selector on the back of the TX and RX units allows selection of the conversion band of the AV signal. The beam is about 100 mt in open space.
